We are the Moore Family
We have been married for 23 years, have four children that range in age from 21 to 5 and are a sports oriented family. Jack is a Superintendent for an Industrial Piping Company. I was a hairstylist for almost 15 yrs, before staying home with our children for the past 10 years. Jack & I grew up in the world of horse racing and that’s how we met. Jack’s family trained horses. My Father was a jockey and also trained. Needless to say, we’ve been around animals our entire lives.
Once we were married and started our family, we faded from the horses and not the dogs. Once our boys were old enough to kick or throw a ball, we were on a soccer field, basketball court, football field or mostly a baseball field! It became our lives. Our oldest son, Shane, was a three sport athlete in school, until his Junior year. He decided to play football and baseball. He is currently working on the oil rigs in Texas. Our middle son, Travis, was also an athlete in school. He played soccer and baseball until his Junior year. His Junior year he decided to focus on baseball (his true love) and now plays in college. Our youngest son, Brady, wants to try it all, but his true passion is baseball. All the boys have played competitive, travel ball in the summer that kept us traveling around the country (with our Bulldogs). Our little girl, Emmarie, just started her sports this year with T-ball. She was raised on a ball diamond, so I guess we aren’t shocked! We are also very proud of their outstanding performance in the classroom!!
Well, with most sports, come some sort of nickname for most players. I always referred to our oldest as “Moe”, so the guys on the team just started calling him that. Travis thought that was kinda cool, so one day he asked “why don’t I have a nickname that everyone can call me”? So I quickly came up with “T” and he liked it. Soon enough, everyone else started to call him that too. Later, he became “T Moe” and that stuck! Then they came up with one for our youngest. We had a license plate made that was “TEAMMOE” to represent all of our family. We see each other as a team, like most families do! So, the rest is history. We made baseball such a part of our lives, that it only seemed fitting to merge it with our love for the Bulldogs. So, our kennel name became Moe’s Bulldogs.
